The Box

With Volume in residence, The Box has become established as the hive of exciting new music and home to the growing crop of talented local bands.

Bringing the likes of Baddies, Doll and the Kicks and The Joy Formidable to the area, the 300-capacity venue will continue that winning formula in the Volume Festival - featuring the big headliners and good times.

Square One

Sure to be one of the coolest hang-outs during the festival, the Mill Street venue continues to host some of the biggest party nights in the area in conjuction with FunkAGENDA while upholding its standing as the town's true trendy drinking den.

Square One also has a growing reputation as an acoustic venue in its own right, having hosted the likes of Tom Hingley and Miles Hunt over recent months along with 'Busk' every Friday in association with Volume.

Traditional pub through and through, Mick and Shirl have built up a loyal band of regulars and been a staple of the Nantwich Road scene while many a venue has changed hands or gone under.

Enjoying the success of Live '08, The Ex has continued to keep a busy calendar of live music going ever since on their stage while hosting their own search for talent - The E-Xpress Factor.
The Imp

The Imp

Right at the heart of the Festival, The Imp holds its own in catering for diverse live music lovers.

Considered home by many of the local bands, the venue's passion for quality musicianship and performance remains as strong as ever.

Always providing a big welcome and a great atmosphere, the Imp continues to offer at least one buzzing gig a week.

The stage of many a highlight from an array of different styles of bands in 2008, expect more of the same but bigger and better during the Volume Festival.
The M Club

The M Club

THE big one, The M Club remains on a high having brought the international mainstream force of Feeder to town recently.

Without doubt the biggest gig Crewe has seen in decades, the 1,000-capacity venue hopes to build on that statement, having also played host to Ocean Colour Scene, Paul Young, and Joe Bonamassa during 2008.

Proving a stage for many of the established tributes along with live comedy, the High Street club also houses local radio (The Cat) while trying to carve out a reputation as a full-on music, media and arts centre.
The Bank

The Bank

For one weekend only, The Bank transforms into one of the key venues on the gig-seeker's circuit.

Established as a popular hang-out for students and traditionally loving RnB and Dance, they join in with the live stuff all guitars blazing.

Some of the legendary moments of Live '08 belong to The Bank and their no-holds barred approach to offering their stage to any takers.

Expect many more in the Nantwich Road happy house during the Volume Festival.

Intimate and inviting and that's just Bruce.

The new man at the helm of Bar 22 has certainly made an impact with his renaissance of the Mill Street venue.

With live acoustic music now featuring spasmodically since the transformation, Bar 22 is opening the doors to the Volume Festival in all its glory.

A welcome addition alongside the founding venues, expect some fun and musical excellence in this premises.
The Waldron

The Waldron

Giving The Volume Festival a presence slap bang in the town centre, The Waldron will once again cater for a varity of tastes in music.

Following their success in Crewe Live '08, acoustic artists are likely to dominate the schedule during the afternoons.

Bands take over in the evenings with the venue determined to make their mark on the local music scene over the coming months.
